Lyrical
Royston Williams aka Lyrical was born and raised in Bristol a small city in the United Kingdom as both of his parents are of Jamaican origin he was introduced to Reggae music at a young age. Back in the day before he even knew he could spit Lyrical attended Easton road junior school where he loved to do art work and wanted to become an architect.
Lyrical’s parents had split up whilst he was still a baby, he was raised by his mother in Bristol but still went to visit his father during school holidays who lived in London. During these trips to London Lyrical discovered the pirate radio stations which at that time were playing a new breed of music, drum n bass which quickly took over the streets of the U.K.
After fascinating about what he was hearing Lyrical made sure he had a pack of empty TDK cassettes every time he went to London so he could record the sessions and bring them home.
Hearing Mc Shabba and Mc Det on a mix tape inspired him so much that he just started to try and freestyle to every beat which soon became an everyday habit. Before he even knew it he was mc’ing at local raves in his hometown with some of the best mc's at that time.
After leaving Bristol and moving to Amsterdam it was difficult for him to communicate with other artists and producers because he did not speak or understand the language.
After months of searching he was introduced by a friend to a crew that was rolling under the name Amolab. After linking with Biggaman he quickly found himself recording with Shyrock (Rollarock) and Dj Precise in the Amolab studio.
Since then Lyrical and Biggaman have done a whole list of shows in the Netherlands including the opening act for Lady Saw and the infamous Eek a Mouse. They have also had gigs in Belguim and Switserland. They are currently working on different projects which include a mix tape with Dj Waxfiend that will be sure to hit the streets very soon. 2006 is sure to be a promising year for Biggaman & Lyrical!
Biggaman
Biggaman and Lyrical are two versatile artists. Biggaman is from St.Eustatius and Lyrical is from Bristol (UK), together they bring a different flavour to the music scene. Their music speaks for itself!!
Sherwin Henriquez, "Biggaman" a.k.a Bigguz, the heavyweight with heavy flows is definitely no stranger to the dancehall music scene in various parts of Europe and the Dutch Antilles. Biggaman was born in 1981 on the historical gem of the Caribbean, St Eustatius N.A. He grew up with his mother and his older brother, who was also the one that introduced him to music.
Biggaman started experimenting and listening to music at a young age. In 1997 he finally got the opportunity to grace the stage at a local school party, it was from that moment on that he realized that he wanted to have a career in music. In 1998 he formed a music group with some friends; the group went by the name of "The Endless Crew". Soon after, Biggaman left St Eustatius to go to Curacao, he was already thinking about obtaining a serious music career and managed to make it onto the local music television channel and performed at various big college festivals for thousands of students.
After a period of 18 months Biggaman decided to move to Holland to seek more success in his music career and to further his education. In Amsterdam he went out to a reggae club called Times and it was there that he had his first performance ever in the Netherlands. The next day he received a call from a Dj by the name of Precise, who at that time was the number one dancehall Dj in the Netherlands and had his own production company, “Amolab” together with Shyrock. They got together and found themselves liking each others styles and ideas and started to work together. With the help of Amolab, Biggaman started doing shows by himself around the Netherlands and Belgium, often functioning as the opening act for various reggae artists such as Red Rat. It was at this time that he met Lyrical Roy.

Concept Energy:
NIGHT – IN HIS ROOM IN FRONT OF THE TV – INT
Roy is drinking Hennessy in front of the television watching shots of the AMO-LAB commercial parts with the girls. When he takes a sip and closes his eyes the girl from the video on tv appears and gives him a lapdance. When he takes his last sip the girl mysteriously disappears. He leaves the room.
NIGHT – ON THE STREET NEXT TO SHOP AND PARKED CARS – EXT
Somewhere in between these two scenes the music starts. When he walks out his door and walks on the streets he will be singing the song (long travel). He checks his wallet and sees that there is not enough money to buy the drinks he wants to buy. When he is walking the streets he sells mixtapes to people that walk in the opposite direction. There is room here for jokes, groupbouncing or whatever.
NIGHT – IN THE SUPERMARKET – INT
Roy searches for his drink in the supermarket. Again these are just the rap shots. He finds the last can of Redbull. He pays for it with the money and just ‘earned’.
NIGHT – ON THE STREET NEXT TO SHOP AND PARKED CARS – EXT
When he’s near his house, he pops the can and takes a sip. When he tries to open the door to his house, the pretty girl who mysteriously vanished in the beginning opens to door for him…
